- Cheryl Deschenes has focused on residential real estate and new construction since becoming a licensed real estate professional in 1990. That year she earned The Rookie of the Year award at her brokerage. Cheryl’s enthusiasm for real estate has continued to grow ever since. Her efforts have continually earned her recognition within the industry – receiving annual sales awards and other accolades in real estate. In 1996, Cheryl and a few of her fellow agents opened their own brokerage, Hunter Properties LLP. Serving as the managing broker partner for Hunter Properties, Cheryl quickly grew her company to be one of the area’s top real estate firms. Over the next 25 years, under Cheryl’s leadership, Hunter Properties partnered with nationally recognized franchises to further expand the business. Cheryl is particularly proud that Hunter Properties received a national franchise award for Office of the Year. This award was given to the office that best demonstrated the goals of the franchise through office design and format. Cheryl is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, the Rhode Island Statewide MLS, Pinergy MLS and the Nantucket Association of Real Estate Brokers. Cheryl is a lifelong native of Southeastern Massachusetts and currently resides on Nantucket Island. She married her high school sweetheart Paul over forty-five years ago. Together Cheryl and Paul have four children and eleven grandchildren. When she’s not busy with real estate Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family and friends in Nantucket
