
The Nantucket Farm House
The Nantucket Farmhouse is a historic home that was built in 1840 by our family who operated a farm on the property and surrounding land. The home was completely renovated in the winter and spring of 2023. The photos showcase the renovation and the redecoration of the house. We strive to provide high-level of quality in the furnishings, decor, kitchen and amenities. The home is located on large private lot with lots of outdoor space for kids to play and for adults to enjoy. There are three distinct outdoor seating areas, an outdoor dining table for six people with outdoor barbecue, night lighting, patio, and beautiful lawn. Six Adirondack chairs on the great lawn with tables for your drinks, a dining table on the front lawn with seating for four and an umbrella for reading and just relaxing in the peaceful natural environment that surrounds the farmhouse. The interior reflects the decor of a true Nantucket Farmhouse, and we have endeavored to honor the history of this special home and location. The home has two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, There is a primary queen bedroom and the second bedroom has twin beds and a desk if you must work. There is a bathroom upstairs with vanity and a walk-in shower. There is a separate bedroom downstairs with a queen bed and a full bath off of the kitchen in the rear of the house with a vanity, full bath and shower. There is also a traditional private Nantucket outdoor shower near the rear of the house with hot water for washing off the sand and rinsing off the salt water after a day at the beach! The large living room has comfortable seating, lots of windows and natural light overlooking the private gardens. Lots of books and games, a stereo system, a 52 inch high definition Samsung Smart TV with Apple TV Plus. The dining room has large a custom dining table with eight chairs and is just off the Living Room The property has its own private driveway, a large grass yard and natural areas in the front of the house and a larger private grass yard in the back of the house that has a patio outside with outdoor dining furniture, evening lighting and a barbecue. There are many birds and also a family of deer that live in the area. The home is ideally located in Madaket, it is a 10 minute walk to 40th Pole Beach, a beautiful white sand beach that is great for swimming, picnicking and spending the day. As our guests, you will have private access to two tennis courts and a half basketball court which are less than a 2 minute walk from the house. They are part of the amenities that are provided by the Fishers Landing Community. Please bring your own tennis rackets and tennis balls, as well as a basketball if you wish to utilize these great amenities. It is also 10 minute walk or a two minute drive to Madaket Harbor Beach. A great spot for long walks on the beach with lots of nature, birds and conservation land to enjoy. Madaket surf beach is a 10 minute bike ride or a five minute drive, it has spectacular sunsets and it's also good for surfcasting and long walks.
