A book-lover’s paradise within New England’s vacation paradise!? What more could Nantucket visitors ask for!? The island’s annual celebration of the literary arts is set for mid-June, bringing together authors, readers, and storytellers for a weekend of engaging events.

The Nantucket Book Festival “seeks to ignite the spark that turns readers into book lovers,” and features engaging events like, author meet ups and book signings.

Festival highlights, include:

Author Presentations: Authors from various genres share insights into their works and creative processes.

Panel Discussions: Interactive sessions where authors and experts discuss literary themes and current topics.

Book Signings: Opportunities to meet authors and have books personally signed.

Writing Workshops: Sessions designed to inspire and develop writing skills among participants.

Children's Events: Activities and readings tailored for younger audiences to foster a love for reading.

Most festival events are free and open to the public and a full schedule of events will be released mid-April.

Beyond the Book Festival, the Nantucket Book Foundation, holds year-round events to promote reading and writing within the island community. These include visiting author programs in schools, young writer awards, and the Nantucket Book Mobile, which delivers free books to children across the island.
