August 9: Boston Pops on Nantucket
Join “the most powerful and intense Springsteen tribute on the planet,” Bruce in the USA and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra on Jetties Beach to benefit the Nantucket Cottage Hospital. Complete with live music and a drone light show, it’s one of the island’s most popular events.
August 10-11: Nantucket Golf Club Foundation Children’s Charity Classic
The Nantucket Golf Club Foundation hosts the Children’s Charity Classic to help provide scholarships and vocational training to Nantucket youth. Enjoy a sunset cocktail party with an auction Sunday night into a golf tournament Monday morning.
August 16: Sidewalk Art Show
The Artists Association of Nantucket's Sidewalk Art Show is a vibrant display of local talent. Stroll along the cobblestone streets to discover paintings, sculptures, and photography by island artists.
August 17: Opera House Cup Regatta
Watch the 53rd annual Opera House Cup Regatta at Nantucket Sound. The Regatta was the first all-wooden, single-hulled classic boat regatta on the East Coast and is now an event that draws sailors from around the country.
