Personal

It wasn't the easiest path, but I stayed focused on the vision I had for the life I wanted to build. Through becoming a licensed REALTOR and growing my family, I drew on a powerful lesson. I did not always plan on becoming a REALTOR. As a child, I dreamt of playing Major League Baseball, but that disappeared after several injuries in college. Then, nearing the end of my masters degree in social work, I serendipitously discovered how real estate could also make a difference for others. Making a difference for others has been my passion since I was a child. After my mother passed away when I was 9 years old, I grew aware of the difference people can make in each other's lives. I was fortunate to have a lot of helpful, caring adults around me, especially my high school baseball coach. People would often tell me, "You're a good kid." Their words of encouragement kept me on the path to pursue my dreams. I did my homework, played baseball and other sports, while wanting to make a difference for others the way they had for me. Once I put baseball behind me, that became my focus. With real estate, I found an opportunity to help in a big way. As the largest purchase most people make, I could not imagine a greater purpose to serve. My wife, Adaliss, and I moved back home to Connecticut to raise our family while I started my real estate business. At first, I worked odd jobs at night to make ends meet, delivering everything from newspapers to bread. That first year was hectic with the birth of our first son and, less than 12 months later, the birth of our second. Fortunately, Adaliss and I make a great team. She enjoys doing the important job of staying home with our kids so I can work with my clients in the fruition of their real estate goals - residential and commercial. Although it was a busy time, we leaned into our faith in God, strength in ourselves, and hope. I found success early on in real estate and continue to build. We've also built our family, currently with four sons and a daughter! Although it took hard work to create the life we have, I do not mind. I continue working hard because I recognize struggle is good for us. It pushes us outside our comfort zones and makes us stronger. I am an eternal optimist. Not a lot can phase me because no matter what I face, I look at it as a steppingstone to reach the vision I have in mind; a trait that has served me immensely in my line of work. I've realized that with a clear vision of our goals, nothing can derail us. Through the toughest times, I return to my vision and use each struggle to bring me closer to it. As a REALTOR, I enjoy helping others identify and achieve the visions they have for their lives as well. I am so proud of my family and the life we are building together. Our focus on family, faith, and my career in real estate is clear and allows me to enjoy being present with my children without worrying about the future. We are also very involved in our faith. Whenever I am not working, I enjoy driving, traveling, playing outside with my children, running, and watching the Patriots. My favorite part of being a REALTOR is winning my clients' trust when they choose me as their REALTOR. Like baseball, real estate is full of surprises. You have to be ready to adjust to curveballs and work with a team to get the results you want.
