I first met Cathy over 10 years ago when I was looking for a home on the Cape. She was selling a ranch that was owned by a Texas bank. It was a drawn out negotiation only finalized by Cathy getting on the phone with the Texas bank representatives and telling them they should take the deal or the buyers would "walk" Two minutes later I bought the house! I would like to share my recent experience with our very knowledgeable realtor, Catherine Johnson. We met Cathy at a local open house where she was showing a property in a very desirable location but failed to meet our needs. I was very hard pressed for time, which she respected by intently listening to our families needs as I rushed from room to room like a whirlwind trying to get out of there. She began sharing properties via e-mail of potential interest every couple of weeks- not in a pushy way. One of the qualities she poses is her tenacity, she never gave up on us like other past realtors who would send a couple of listings and then drop off.
After several weeks, in a very hot sellers market, a home that checked off most of our needs in the location we desired came up on the market. We knew there would be competition as homes were selling very quickly and sellers were receiving multiple offers. Cathy was not only expeditious in getting us in to see the home she was able to negotiate a fair price below asking price. She walked us through every step of the buying process and was able to provide us with the names of local contractors ( flooring refinishing / paint) and attorney. We had many questions and she was always available via phone/text.
During the buying process of our new home we decided to sell our current residence and that is where Catherine?s professionalism really shined. Timing was a concern for us and a bit of a juggling act but with her help it was absolutely seamless. After showing her our property, we collaborated over a sale price while reviewing this beautifully laid out portfolio containing comps in our area that she had provided. She went through each room providing guidance for repairs and staging. She continued to check in on our progress with the small home repairs and decluttering. She then returned with a professional photographer who took amazing pictures of the house. They looked so good, I began having doubts about selling the house. We decided to list the house on a Thursday and she would have the showing on Saturday and Sunday while we were out of town. We were so nervous about the turnout and she reassured us in her confident manner that we should expect some offers. She did not let us down, we had several offers by Sunday and an excepted offer by Monday. Not only did she sell our home in record time, she was able to sell the house above asking price. I explicitly trusted her with the purchase of one home and selling of another and will continue utilizing her services for any upcoming real estate transactions for as long as she remains in the business."
