About Matthew Aloisi

Personal

Matt is an island native with an extensive island lineage. A graduate of Nantucket High School and The University of Massachusetts at Amherst, he spent several years in the hospitality business on Nantucket and in Boston. After graduating from the hospitality world he worked on the finance team at the energy storage company A123 Systems, Inc, in Waltham MA. Living in Boston gave Matt a renewed perspective & appreciation of what makes island life unique, it's suitability for him and him for it. Ultimately he moved back full time and has settled into a real estate career which lets him share his comparative perspective. Matt has seen incredible growth on the island during his lifetime and appreciates the opportunity the growth has provided island businesses and families alike. As the island has grown it has also become proportionally complex as a homeowner. However, it will always be the same small town he grew up in and navigating the often confusing local policies & offices on his clients behalf makes him an excellent partner to work with whether buying or selling. He loves the personal relationships he develops while sharing his lifetime of island knowledge and appreciates talking about what makes it such a unique place. When not in the office you can find him as an active member in the community, fishing from his boat, breathing heavy on the bike paths or in his basement workshop making occasionally straight cuts!
