Experience
I've been a licensed SC Realtor since 2002. My initial focus was buying residential building lots in Bluffton, SC, building "spec homes", listing and selling the properties, then engaging in 1031 exchanges to purchase additional properties and repeat. Since then I have focused on more traditional real estate activities such as assisting Buyers and being a part of our Listing Team. Basically, anything that I can do to make buying and selling easier for clients is my primary goal and the aim of my efforts!
Personal
I am a fully devoted and engaged Father, Husband, Son, and Brother. I have numerous priorities and focuses which keep me on track and give meaning to my existence:
- God
- Family Time
- Friends
- Work ethic
- Service/Community
- Health/Nutrition/Fitness
- Playing Sports - Golf, Tennis, weight training
- Music / Art / Culture / History
- Hiking / Swimming
Areas Covered
I aim to focus on the following SC locations:
- Hilton Head Island
- Bluffton
- Okatie
- Port Royal
- Beaufort
Community Involvement
3 areas of interest for me right now where I volunteer:
- Realtors association Community Outreach Committee. This group raises money for local organizations helping the needy and has multiple partnerships with organizations that rebuild, paint, do lawn work, etc for those who apply and are qualified to receive assistance. Last month we painted an entire house for a disabled couple in Ridgeland, SC.
- Bluffton Self Help: Here I work 3 days per month in the Food Pantry, assisting families to shop and receive free food!
- Outside Foundation: Working with other volunteers/family/friends, to build artificial reefs from local recycled oysters.
Professional Association
- Member of National Association of Realtors
- Member of Hilton Head Area Association of Realtors
Education
Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics with a focus on Marketing Communications and Advertising.
Bio
Some of my family moved to Bluffton in 1990. During visits, I fell in love with the Bluffton area and quickly discovered the magic of Hilton Head Island as well. While pursuing a publishing and advertising career in New YORK family circumstances lead me to move here permanently in 1997. Best move of my life.. I learned the family termite and pest business, moved into ownership within a few years. We enjoyed steady growth and a large customer base. I learned alot about home construction in this career! We eventually sold. During this time I started a family, had two beautiful daughters, and continued to pursue a passion for music. I have been a harmonica player since college. Then I built a house! That??is when I fell in love with real estate and its related activities. I have since had many homes built for myself and others and decided it made great sense to become a licensed realtor in 2003. As my girls have reached an age where Daddy doesn’t need to be available for travel soccer, tennis, birthday parties, etc. I decided to finally make real estate my full time career. The Lowcountry is one of the most beautiful places and has some of the greatest opportunities for family and investors alike! I still love playing music and have a small side hustle making displays, lamps, and other artsy things out of local driftwood. I am also a certified personal trainer and maintain just a couple of very special clients. I love the local river systems for boating, kayaking, fishing, and driftwood hunting. I believe we are meant to enjoy this world without destroying it. As a result of spending a lot of times outdoors I find myself drawn to community cleanups and similar volunteer activities.
